US Timing Foundation

The United States Time Server Foundation

As part of its role in public service and in implementing a strong NSPD-39 PNT Ground-Segment Access Policy, Certichron is proud to host the US Time Server Foundation.

The US Time Server foundation is a public service organization whose sole charter is to provide Internet-based access to regionally located NIST and USNO-Calibrated Stratum-1 Servers as an external reference for synchronization and certifiable time-base applications.

In certain sites these servers are extended to provide multiple access methods and are operated from within a fully logged perimeter as is the environment around them so access is restricted to reference services only.

The US Time Server Foundation Goals

  1. Provide PNT Ground-Segment access all the time everywhere and in doing so to facilitate a national adoption program for Ground-Segment use in key Sectors of the US CI.
  2. Create Interoperability at the Ground-Segment for advanced time distribution models. NTP itself cannot provide the time stability and resolution needed for operating key systems including financial trading and especially HFT trading systems. Certichron and USTimings vision is a framework of NTP/PTP resource hubs spread across the globe providing access to sovereign time sources for all purposes and compliance needs.
  3. Expand that Interoperability to include International Timescale Support
  4. And of course, to provide a test-bed for stress testing Certichron's GPUniverse TESLA based Timestamp Server
